I’ve always downloaded upgrades when they pop up. Never again.

I noticed this week that my phone was constantly losing WiFi connection & with it the 4G wasn’t working either. Initially thought it was a WhatsApp issue, as that wouldn’t connect. Then realised Gmail was the same..

Googled the issue & see it’s iOS 14

I wouldn’t have a clue where to contact Apple? I’m not on Facebook or twitter or anything like that, so no idea where to register my complaint. Not that it would do any good, because I can see lots of others got the same problem.

Anyway, that’s the last “upgrade” I ever install until there’s no choice.

.....and if you haven’t downloaded iOS 14, DON’T!

I'm on 14.1 and experiencing the same issues. I see that 14.2 is now available so I will upgrade to that to see if it solves the problems.

Down the rabbit hole I go!

Uninstall it...

I had a huge issue with my last os update. Uninstalled it until they corrected..

Sorted now. Called Apple Support, was surprised they answered pretty quickly.
The initial assistant just told me to do stuff I’d already done, so couldn’t help. Put me onto next level. They asked to do a remote screen share, which they couldn’t, due to my VPN...
Turns out 14 has added security & was clashing with the VPN, so told me to delete the VPN app. All working now.

You could call Apple Support.

Ahh so the issue was that your VPN for all your illegal activity was blocking it

Glad you have it working ;)

All serious though, that is quite clever from Apple to be able to knock such things off their devices so effectively
