Player Valuation: £150k
One-time supposed Everton target Stephen Appiah has confirmed that he is a free agent after breaking his contract with Fenerbahçe in a bid to make a fresh start elsewhere.

"Now I am a free agent," he said yesterday.

"A few issues happened between me and the club so I no longer play for them."

The Ghaniain captain also played down talk of a move to Brecia, potentially leaving the door open for Everton to steal in and claim the player and add to the tiny squad available at present.

"Those stories about me and Brecia are not true. My personal trainer works with Brescia and I did a lot of work with him there during the off season so maybe that is where the rumours are from," he \added.

"But there a few offers I am studying even though I am not in a hurry. I want to make the right choice. At the end of it all the most important thing is that wherever I end up, I will give it my absolute all."...

Surely if this is true Moyes would be interested.

On a bos? Why not. If he passes the medical.

Probably wont happen like. It sounds too easy for us and not the Everton way lol

I doubt we'll go for both him and M'Bia, they'll both have to go to the Africa nations every few years. I think Moyes will buy one African midfielder and one European midfielder so the balance is right.

At the moment though I'd take anyone, he'd be a good signing on a free.

would be an excellent signing imo.

anytime i saw him play he has always looked good even better than essien when they play for ghana.

He wont be on Moyes' radar.

I dont even think the African Nations isnt really something be considering either being that we'd hopefully have players or a system that can cope if they went next season.

:)

Last time I checked though, Everton fans and forums are not the casting vote in who signs. Are we that desperate that we are chatting amongst ourselves on who we want? Does the club even care what we think? I doubt it.

Can't imagine Bill and David having a dual browsing session of the largely pondlife that is the forum world?

We can speculate though, if it makes us feel any better.

We've been liked with him in the past and the media are saying three English clubs are after him. Could very well be us.

How dare you? Whilst I aspire to become pondlife at some undefined point in the future, it puts unfair pressure on me to assign me that status so early in my development (n) :P
