I have to say that I am appalled that The Mirror has managed to turn Wendy Richards death into another opportunity to PR Jade Goody. Even more appalled that they have dedicated about 3 inches of column space to the 4 brave men who died in Afganistan, and on Page 10 no less.

I used to buy the Mirror, but my wife now insists on it. Jade Goody has been PR'd to an inch of her life.

The Times on the other hand dedicated some dignity and did not mention a thing about Jade.

I reckon the editorial crew were looking for the Jade angle.
It's just lazy journalism, and a little disrespectful to Wendy Richards.

I'm not sure why you are suprised. The papers still profit from stories on Diana. Shes been dead over 10yrs, yet they still print stories from her past, both facts and fiction.

Thats gutter press for you Dixie mate. I used to like the Mirror myself but couldnt be arsed with any paper now. Even the Echo went down the pan when Mirror Group took over. They'll go for any story that will sell papers. Its big business and thats what its all about. They couldnt give a toss about anyone.

I used to buy the Mirror until it became anti Everton and that Tw*t Mcgovern the red nose b making snide comments about us .the Echo is just a arsewipe for our owner and has been for years they prepare the ground for bad news so when it finally comes its not as bad as first thought.

The Mirror are an awful paper that's why. I went to see some people at the Telegraph yesterday and they have a truely remarkable setup there. No wonder they're the most popular broadsheet offline and online. Very professional indeed.

I dont care thats shes ill tbh,(the kids i do feel for) but this is just getting silly now.


When you look at someone like Wendy Richards,a woman who,ohh whats the word,oh yes talent,the way she conducted herself with her illness should inspire everyone,not like the other wasterel who has turned herself into a media freakshow.

The medias treatment of this so called "star" is frankly mind boggling and while i'm sounding callous saying this,the sooner its over the better..no doubt we'll have a state funeral and a day off work,indeed lets have a jade goody day in future years..why not.

Anyway Miss Richards rip and many thanks for the laughs you gave me over the years in dads army and are you being served..

My sisters daughter is'nt christened yet despite her being two but is still planning on a Christening for her in the future and my sister is'nt exactly religious. Once again, if those that do wish to comment negatively on Jade Goody, refrain yourselves please. Those that claim to be sick of her all are kidding yourselves really. You state you are fed up of the girl but it does not stop you reading about her. Your loving it in truth are'nt you? Do you see me rabbiting on about the RS much?? No! I never read about them also because i could not care less about them. Leave the girl alone, stop reading about her if you detest her that much and stop posting cruel jibes on here regarding a young dying woman.

It is sad that she's dying , I can't even begin to imagine the pain she must be in, but I'm entitled not to like the media circus.

Steevie, Steevie. Stop it mate. Stop believing that what she is doing is right, because it isn't. She is selling her soul, for what? For some cash for her kids? Don't they already have enough? And before you say she is about to lose her mum. My wife has no mum or dad, they both died relatively young, and she has nothing to show for it.

I also don't read about her, I see the Mirror when I go and get a more sophisticated newspaper, and it makes my guts churn when I read a new headline everyday.

Answer me this one. How come we don't read about the following people on the front page every day:

Patrick Swayze
Bobby Robson
and Wendy Richards, prior to her death.

Why? Because they don't instruct some PR scumbag to engineer story lines to squeeze more money out of the public. I have no respect for her whatsoever, I actually feel sorry for her, the Jade Goody PR machine is out of control and she is dying with absolutely no dignity whatsoever.
