Senser were one of the earlier 'crossover' rap metal acts
Some of the songs off 'Stacked Up' were heavy as - especially Eject and No Comply
Definitely - 'Stacked Up' is a quality album, all sorts of styles on therePretty good that, seems like they had different styles and sounds on one album.
For those first 4 EP's and Nowhere Ride were about as close to perfection as an indie band gets. They were fantastic live around then, too. They didn't sustain it unfortunately, but if they'd made the two records they've made since reforming after Going Blank Again they'd probably have a better legacy. One of few bands whose "comeback" has been completely worthwhile.Sure he sparked Liam Gallagher out once. Bands like Ride were part of the insanely average scene at that time. IMO anyways
The drummer of Compulsion would later become the record producer Jackknife Lee, who produced Bloc Party and did the rock remix of Eminem’s “Cleaning Out My Closet”, that Kerrang TV would play loads once upon a time.
This chart does make me realise that it’s independent labels, so we have Senser despite being a rap group, as the indie No.1.
Oh yes. It was a label called Jive who were indie and later bought out by a major label and the name later seized.Don't know if The Chart Show used the same "indie" chart but The Backstreet Boys were often No1 in the NME Chart as they were signed to an "independent" label.
