Just heard that Valencia were playing our player stalkers, and wondered if anyone was the wiser if Manny was playing, or moving from that match to come over to us.

Not trying to start a rumour, just trying to find out if he travelled.

No personal offence taken mate. I rate Manny, and hope we sign him. Sounds like you don't. Don't want another Kirkby or Manny thread, just asking a question, and hoping that he's on the way to us.
 

If Moyes wanted Fernandes then i'm sure he would of gone in for him by now. I think Fernandes's attitude has stopped Moyes from making a move for him.
 
I think Moyes will wait right until the end of the transfer window before making a move for Manny, in the hope that Valencia get desperate allowing Moyes to get a better deal.

I liked Fernandes in his first stint but in his second stint he seemed distinctly not bothered at times and blamed it on not being fit. He'd turn it on against the big boys but against poorer opposition he wouldn't try as hard. Also he chose Valencia over us when he said he would sign for us. We need players who want to be here, not players who are looking to move on to a 'bigger club' at the first opportunity.

I think Moyes would be pretty keen to get signings in as early as possible, to get as much stabilty as he can - especially considering the previous hassles with Manny, and the lack of transfer activity so far.

Watched Manny last night. Came on in the second half against Vitesse and was up to his usual tricks. You know, passing the ball along the ground, Whipping in an excellent free kick and delighting the crowd with a great bit of skill to beat one of the Dutch players on the touchline.

Incidentally, Vitesse had a Ghanaian striker called Yakubu
