Alio

They call me Avocado Baby
Made it in to work all week, spent over 6 hours in my car on Monday

Lots more snow over night has meant I can't get my car up the hill where it is parked, I've been out twice to try. Thankfully remote access is the future and I can do everything I need from home today

Snow bad with anyone else still?

I am just about to try and get to work. Getting off the estate is the biggest challenge, the busier roads are not too bad.
Last January I had to abandon my car for a few days. This time it has been abandoned on my drive.
It isnt that it has still been snowing. The stuff we had simply hasn't gone anywhere and is frozen.

Yeah we had a crap load over the weekend, its now frozen and a couple more inches again over night! Drive safe man

I've got an hour or so drive for Christmas Day via a lot of country lanes.....I have a feeling it could be Christmas for one this year!! =(

made it to work every day despite 7 inches of snow between me and manchester.

Had another 3 inches again last night it seems. Sadly its me and tractors that I see on my route to work. My boss keeps telling me that the motorway will get me to work quicker......yeah ok, it takes me about an hour and a half to get to the motorway, and then it takes about an hour and a half from there, and I've been getting in in under 2 hours every other day. Durr

Still a motorway wont get my car up my hill! =)

we've had another 4-5 inches here.

Made it in. But no one can say the Northwest doesn't have bad winters now.

Roads are horrendous especially in residential or extreme rural areas.

I am home sick from work, but we still have about seven inches of snow on the ground. It has been lightly raining since yesterday, so we have more slush than snow. Forecast is calling for snow all day on Christmas Eve, and Christmas morning. Good news cause I've never seen a White Christmas. Bad news, could affect my wife's parents flight to Frankfurt on Christmas day.

Don't you just love bosses who aren't yet clued into the fact that it's almost 2011 and working from home is pretty damn easy? Our company has a "no work from home" policy even though I have a laptop and I can connect to the company network. You have to take paid time off. I know they are afraid people will take advantage, but companies that would rather their employees risk life and limb and waste hours in their car just so they can watch over them at work can suck it.
