Went to work this morning, and my clutch let me down.

Phoned recovery, and whilst putting it on the ramp, my handbrake cable snapped too. :(

Couldn't have happened at a worse time either, with me having a lot of time off unpaid after my back operation.

The car is a Fiat Doblo 1.9 JTD.

Any idea what sort of cost I'm facing?

New clutch and handbrake cable, you should probably just write the car off mate.

funny looking little bugger

Depends where you take it, a main dealer will charge you loads and loads, probably looking at close to £500, a back street garage, you might be looking at about £300. No im not a mechanic, but used to work in the car industry.

Lol.
Best car on the market for what I need it for. :D

Clutch kit £170+ vat
Labour £100 ish

Got lucky and called a friend who has a coach and Limo business.
He's just about the nicest guy in Liverpool.

Clutch garage wanted nearly a grand to do the job. Fiat £60 per hour

Not a bad quote for a clutch installed that, got mine done for £150 I think it was a few months back.
