Flipped my opinion now tbh. Is he worth 50m+? No of course not. But the work and running he gives us in all phases of the game is almost impossible to replace, certainly not at short notice. Maybe I was looking at him in a different way today, but I could see why a big club would really want what he has to offer. A quality finish too which is a big sign of improvement - he might not BE a 50m+ player but maybe being told he is will give him the confidence to perform more like one.

£85m with the majority up front. At this stage it has to be something truly stupid so that we in turn can pay hugely over the odds on a replacement for him and another attacker. If Chelsea are paying £75m for Fofana, surely Gordon must be at a minimum the same fee if not more due to his English tax added on.
