I dunno to be honest. I see him becoming a very good player, but not world class. There are only like 15 or 20 world class players in the world.
I suppose it is not a clear definition. I think Gordon will be in the senior England set up within the next year or so. I think that he will continue to be able to move past opponents at international level. He needs to continue hitting the target when infront of goal which is something that he is working on. The signs are all top drawer for the lad thus all of this madness with clubs wanting to get him and Frank wanting to keep him.

Yes.. we all know this money won’t be used as it should be. Still waiting for a Richie replacement and please don’t say McNeil… really!?!
We do at some point have to stop assuming that the purchasing will always be as bad as the past. Truly great players don’t and won’t come here this year because we have recently been utter poo. All players are told they are far better than they are by the people they pay to make them money.

Having heard Onana speak very confidently and intelligently, there is no way on Earth he came here (or his representatives and family let him come here) if Bill had any part of the negotiations. He may not be great for a while, but the consensus is we’ve caught other teams sleeping on him.

FL has faults and inexperience. I don’t like his formation, and I don’t like some of his subs. And the transparency of his hairline at some point is going to cause me an issue. But he is ambitious and definitely not thick. If he is gifted an unexpected £60m war chest, there is honestly no way he sits there and lets Bill and DBB buy both Longstaffs and Ashley Barnes.

We need to give them a deadline to submit an offer, anything submitted later than Friday morning gets rejected out of hand. Make sure the player understands this as well.

Don't know if it's respectable or naive of him to think he can go to Chelsea, get in their team and give himself a chance at the world cup.

I don't think he's ready for a move like this but I think that makes it ideal for us...

We're getting top dollar for a player that we should be able to replace and improve on for a lot less money than we receive for him.

The Athletic: 'As it stands, a deal between the two clubs is not imminent and there remains a chance that it does not happen before the September 1 deadline'
I mean what can there possibly be to discuss? Chelsea want him, he wants Chelsea, we want the money? The only rationale for this is that we are briefing it’s not a done deal to try to get our own targets secure.
