We used to just have to stump up the money and we'd sign players. We have none.

Also now we have to cope with the fact Spurs are now miles ahead and that players, as wrong as it is, would probably rather join Newcastle, Sunderland, Fulham etc. than us, and they're always interested in everyone.

Combining the two doesn't fill me with hope.

Whether we're going to sign anybody or not is not the point.

does that mean we arent allowed to do our business cos other teams arent? heres an idea - why dont we actually try to sign someone before the other teams get involved, because once they do we are screwed as we cant compete with them!
other teams might not be in the **** situation we are in, concerning strikers in particular - our stats up front are woeful and need sorting asap

when the january sales start after christmas nobody waits til the end of the day to go shopping do they? 6am knocking the door down! thats what everton should be like cos once the other teams get involved we will either get outbid or laughed at regarding wages
