Uses his strength really well now - that ability to hold a defender off with back to goal and then turn in box cannot be defended against without giving away a penalty. Did it today and has done it a few times before, not many strikers can do that.

Has stopped hitting the deck and then sulking/pouting about it and crying to the ref. About time to. The little Brazil twin at RB for Man Utd is made for a ''physical 90 minutes''.

Think he is showing us all why Moyes persisted with him for so long. Moyes obviously seen something in him and he is now showing it. Fair play to lad. Starting to become a real big fan of his!

I want to see him do it consistently for 12 months before any type of reliance can be placed on him as a top flight striker, because it was this time last year when he looked barely good enough for League One, nevermind Everton.

Kneejerking works both ways really. I'm very happy with his recent performances though.

He has done it for 12 months, imo. It was his super subs this time last year that started changing people's mind. And he's been excellent when fit all season.

fair play to the lad. He seems to have finally gotten some belief in himself and changed his attitude. Onwards and upwards Victor.

Vic has always polarized our support. Unfortunately for him in the past at one end of spectrum were the group who thought he was utterly gash and should be chibbed off for a mill or two and at the other folk who could see his potential but feared his attitude could see that talent wasted and fumed at his lack of desire to work for the team when things we'rnt going his or our way.
As spectrums go that's a hell of a lot of folk who might be inclined to give him stick. Some rightly deserved, some less so.
Like all Evertonians I am made up for Vic that he is now showing what he is capable of on a more regular basis. Maybe he'll even earn himself some credit in the bank for the next time his form dips.

100% agreed, he has been more than decent for the past year. He's scored regularly, his all round game improved immensely. Still can be as lazy as anything, but at least he is playing to his strengths, today was one of his best performances without a doubt.

12 goals since last january is a fine return for someone who's mostly been used as a reserve, you have to say.

Especially since he only scored 12 in the hundred odd games he'd played before then.

I've always said he was s**t... because he was... Now I say he's boss... because he is.
Anyone who thought differently or thinks differently now.. is wrong.... imo of course.

Yeah but I wanted him sold because I thought he'd never become boss. That was flat out wrong.

I mean he was awful for a few years where he kept getting games regardless and I'm not going to apologise for getting frustrated with him then but I wrote him off entirely and he's proved me wrong to do so.

Really like Vic, I liked him but I never thought he was good enough to be our main striker.

I think he is, he could score 20+ in a season.

Agreed.. I did exactly the same and there is nothing better than being proven wrong when it comes to slating an Everton player.
Where has this lad come from though. People saying they could see the quality in him is just weird because he was dire beyond anything I had seen in years. I would rather Saha at his worse than old Vic, even at his most dire Saha still offered more.. But new Vic is not a step up, he's a different player altogether. Brilliant by him on a physical and mental level. Hope he keeps improving, we need him and that's something I never thought I'd say.
