Anichebe Out - Crouch In?

Realistically it’s not all about the first eleven, we need a squad. Anichebe may be a poor mans Heskey and he may not be as good as Yakubu (he’s not) but we need competition for places and backup. We could potentially be competing in four competitions next season, it’s going to be a long, hard season.

I see no reason why we should be getting rid of anyone unless that player is going to bring in some funds, Anichebe would bring about 3 million which is **** all to be honest. Getting rid of players just causes more problems for a nothing squad, down to the bear bones.

As for Crouch, he’s a good player but I wouldn’t want him here. We have a similar player in Fellaini who does a similar job for the team. Crouchy’s not for us.

Eliseu Pereira dos Santos (born August 1, 1983 in Angra do Heroísmo, Azores), commonly known as Eliseu, is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays with Málaga CF in the Spanish first division, as a winger with lightning speed.

The magic words, sign him up Moyes.

I see no one has mentioned that although Anichebe is quite a big physical lad, as I recall we did point out on here that into his game had crept a tendency to fall over too easily!!:dodgy:

Here's the deal with Anichebe. Like him or loathe him, right now he is our player and going nowhere. He is not worth £3....he is not worth even half that. Why? Because he has quite a serious injury. So, in order for us to be able to get £3m for him, he will have to get back to full fitness, get some games under his belt and show he is worth the money. If he does that, then he might show that he is worth sticking with because he might just have scored a few goals and put himself about a bit. Moyes has shown he is loyal to players coming back from serious injury - Vaughan and Osman can testify to that.

Maybe this injury is the best thing that could have happened to him. He might just realise that he really likes playing football and knows that he will have to prove himself over again - i.e. it might just straighten his head out. If it doesn't, then it wil be all over at everton for him and probably for the premier-league.

The problem for him is that he is going to be behind Yak, Saha, Vaughan probably another centre forward plus Felli and Cahill/ The bonus for us is that if he can get ahead of any of them then it means he is doing the business

Oh yeah, and Vaughan to start ahead of Saha for the final
