Skysports.com understands Victor Anichebe is in talks with Everton over a new deal.
Anichebe,

who has come through the ranks at Everton,

has one year left on his current contract at Goodison Park.

Everton are keen to tie down the talented forward to a new long-term contract to ward off potential suitors with a number of sides thought to be monitoring his situation
The Nigerian international is highly rated within the corridors of power at Goodison Park and they see Anichebe as a key member of the club's long-term future.
Anichebe has made 76 appearances and scored seven goals for Everton and the Toffees are hoping to quickly agree a deal for the striker.
