Yep Cels,we lost first two, forest and arsenal I think, then we went unbeaten til the 6-2 boxing day debacle, pretty sure we lost away to Leeds a couple of days later to complete a miserable Xmas!!!Doh!!!

Alright mate, I feel we may be getting our seasons mixed up a bit. I think as @Jamo Martinez said, the Andy King goal against Liverpool was the 1978/79 season, when we went on an unbeaten run from the start of the season until Dec. The season before, 1977/78, was the one when we lost our first couple of games then put a run together that again lasted until Dec. Unless I'm getting mixed up... all the disappointment over the years seems to have merged into one massive season in my mind lol

Surely not.
When you're seventeen and have spent all your secondary education with that lot conquering domestic and European football, with that soft get Emlyn Hughes spouting about how tragic we were, it was the perfect moment. Bayern Munich was a truly memorable night but we belonged in that company. That Liverpool team looked shell shocked by that defeat, I'll never forget it.

Niether will I mate but it does not touch the bayern game.

The first time I saw us beat them. I'll remember that feeling for the rest of my life. Not quite on the level of getting married or my kids being born, but next level after that and at that time the best feeling ever, as I was 7 years old!
