Tidy for sure with some nice touches, but as the most advanced midfielder, doesn't break the lines and join the attackers from deep (bar the last 10 minutes) which means he's limiting his chance of maximising his goals and assists.

If you watch James goal, He completely blocks a player from making a tackle on Richarlison, It's nothing amazing but good clever play.

Yeah that's fair if that's the extent of his remit in the midfield this season - I'm a fan of him and thought he had a decent game, was just pointing out that he can effect play more given his talent (which I'm sure he will do gradually as his fitness improves given the serious injury)

I noticed that, at a lot of things he did went unnoticed. His closing down in the second half and winning the ball back was top drawer, he was also covering a lot for Digne.

Rubbish first half , had a part in both there goals, settled down second half a ticked along ok,
going forward we need a more mobile player in there it would improve that midfield .

Thought were terrible in midfield first half mate. Again though I do put that down to West Brom getting right in our faces and not allowing us a second on the ball. It’s almost like we didn’t expect them to come at us like that. Once settled and we took control again I thought they all played well.

Was okay, just seems a bit immobile for me. It's frustrating as we've seen him try this threaded passes when he first joined but just feels so safe with what he does now.
