Brands basically told the Kopite to Sniff his middle finger and that's the way it should be. None of them can write objectively or without bias so we shouldn't be giving them a grain of any rumour.
Iirc he broke the Tierney interest and seemed to play heavy on that we would be after him but didn’t clock Digne until after King or someone else had it.
So you’re probably right. He’s been burnt somewhere and now his tricky reds have been successful, he’s playing up to it.
