7 of the 19 youngest goalscorers in Premier League history were playing for Everton when they scored.

The Everton seven, in order of youthfulness, are: Vaughan, Rooney, Cadamarteri, Ball, Anichebe, Jeffers, Branch.

...all we are saying, is give youth a chance.

Yet out of all of those only Rooney went on to be successful.

Does this show we can spot young talent but not nurture it?

more likely we are always wafer thin and have chuck the kids on.

I agree that only Rooney was successful but there are a few other 'caps' in there

How many of those have reached 100 PL goals though? Or 50 even.

Anichebe has 12 career goals, Jeffers 30 odd, Vaughan is under 20, Branch didn't break double figures, neither did Cadamarteri.

Lets not get carried away here chaps.
