Rugby Union isn't so tough I don't think as its so very rare for there to actually be big collisions because so much time is spent with the ball in set plays or mauls. In League there is much more tackling and running. The game down under is fantastic to watch and I'd say those that play State of Origin are the toughest buggers.

Had a go last year at the Cotswold Olympics - and some farmhand nearly snapped my leg in half!

It's a no brainer to me.

American Football is a fast, exciting game.

Rugby is a sterile war of attrition between musclebound freaks.

If it wasn't for the fact that the media is replete with chaps from rugy union playing chaps then it wouldn't receive quarter of the coverage on TV that it does.

And I hold out Rugby League, a faster, more skilful code as an example of this.

It hardly receives any terrestrial coverage due to its lack of friends in high media places.
