No, but I did a lot of research on Amazon, ebay, etsy, etc. Depending on what you want to do, you might look into drop shipping as well.Anyone on here selling on Amazon? For a side income or full-time? Retail / Online Arbitrage, Private Label or other? Anyone on Amazon Merch or any other programme?
I'm trying to focus on one idea/area that is very much Amazon based (based around "Amazon Custom"). Massive opportunities, but oh my God is it hard to get it off the ground. No, but I did a lot of research on Amazon, ebay, etsy, etc. Depending on what you want to do, you might look into drop shipping as well.
Etsy initially started has home made goods only, but the company changed the rules a couple of years ago, so non-homemade goods are allowed. Quite a few upset sellers left to start another site that was homemade only.I'm trying to focus on one idea/area that is very much Amazon based (based around "Amazon Custom"). What sort of area were you researching? Etsy is kind of for creative products isn't it?
Will do - hopefully you'll find the right idea/market too.Etsy initially started has home made goods only, but the company changed the rules a couple of years ago, so non-homemade goods are allowed. Quite a few upset sellers left to start another site that was homemade only.
I was looking to start a side business. After researching Amazon and the others, it is very hard to "get it off the ground" like you said. I'm not familiar with Amazon custom. PM me what you are trying to do. I'll give you my thoughts based on the blogs/books I've read, etc. Hope you can make it a success!![]()
Amazon is dearer to list than e Bay - most big business sellers use both selling identical items on each - Amazon is sometimes more expensive for the same item from the same seller who is also on e Bay......I'm trying to focus on one idea/area that is very much Amazon based (based around "Amazon Custom"). Don't encourage amazon's wealth collection until they are prepared to pay tax properly and support the society they require for their own existence.
..I do shop on internet but i’ve never bought anything on Amazon.
Wasn’t there link where GOT would get money from them whenever anything was bought through the link?
There's definitely an element of that - Amazon seem to take the side against the seller in just about every situation. Thing is that something like 35% of UK e-commerce is going through their marketplace - if that's where the customers are that's where sellers will want to be.If Amazon is anything like ebay the seller has no protection and in a world full of lowlifes it can be a nightmare
I steer clear of the tax dodgers, but my wife uses them quite a lot.
(no social conscience that one)![]()
They are taking over the world in scarier ways than just not paying tax - I think most people don't appreciate the power they have now and continue to accumulate and the insurmountable lead they have in the western world.Don't encourage amazon's wealth collection until they are prepared to pay tax properly and support the society they require for their own existence.
I used to use them a lot. For a while they were cheaper than eBay, but once they got established in the market, the prices and postage started to creep up and their tax payments...well enough said there. Read recently that there's a footballer (a single footballer) that pays more tax in the uk than Amazon. Utter disgrace. They are taking over the world in scarier ways than just not paying tax - I think most people don't appreciate the power they have now and continue to accumulate and the insurmountable lead they have in the western world.
Not really on the same point, but I saw a BBC show on the new Royal Navy Aircraft carrier last week and the munitions delivery systems are based on Amazon's warehouse technology.
