At least if they end up selling him for 35 mil, and arteta gets sad and wants to go, we can demand 35 mil cos theyre basically the same player.

Probably a reasonable price looking at the transfer market.

He was there best and most consistent player last season.

this ronaldo nonsense has totally upset all the prices. think about it, he's not that amazing of a player, but he's certainly worth half of what ronaldo was worth right? its difficult to guess what is a good price anymore, i'm not going to worry about it.

Even in this climate I'd never describe £35M as a reasonable price for him. That's Liverpool setting an unreasnable figure hoping rather than expecting to get 2/3 rds of that. 27 years old, after a 4 year contract there'll be no sell on value for that player.

I'd like to see him go for whatever the price (though hopefully Arteta won't follow him out of town). Liverpoo would have had 10-15 pts less last year w/o him.

Thinking the same.

I dont buy that Ronaldo transfer has bumped prices up big time. What it has done is made clubs put stupid transfer prices on their key players. Trying to pray a players is going to cost more.

Waiter has realised that Alonso is a good player after last season...before that he was willing to bite anyones hands off if they offered £18million. Oh how a season can change a players value.
