Never seen our midfield as wide open and easy to play through as when he was playing. He was a very poor signing.

Wasn't great, wasn't terrible. Likely never got to show his best because he was surrounded by proper turds. I think it has to be classified as a bad signing because of the fee involved. Good to be rid of his wages, though, at least.

A great guy, and a great footballer. Just not suited to a two man midfield, when he signed the first part of the season he was immense. Think little injuries etc have caught up with him, he clearly doesn’t have the legs to play in a two. Surprised he wasn’t given a chance in a three, felt he read the game well. I guess with IGG coming home the writing was on the wall. Understand the reasoning of getting rid now however wish him and his family all the best!

Bought for £20m+, ran around alot and did very little else. Leaving for probably a nominal fee too.
He was a huge disappointment, no two ways about it.
He cost £25m and is leaving on what appears to be a free after making 48 PL starts. I can see why you might not agree but it's not exactly an outrageous statement.

Not to mentioned his TWO completed passes v Liverpool in the derby, both of which were from kickoff.
Had some great games, had a lot of not so great games. Injured a lot. Spent a lot of money and got very little in return so will have to go down as another 20m purchase that wasn't value for money.
