My old dad who made me a Blue would have been 99 today!! Dean then Eglington, Farrell and TG Jones were players from before my time that he raved about!

Watching Arsenal v Man Utd on the Big Match today. In Arsenal's team was Paul Vaessen, who vaguely rang a bell. Googled him and found a terrible story.

The tragedy of Paul Vaessen

Paul Vaessen sealed one of Arsenal's greatest triumphs 22 years ago. Injury then wrecked his career and led him to drug addiction and crime. Last year he died, aged 39.
