haha right?

anyway 3 goals really stand out

Mexico (assist from ref), Brazil (running with Davies) and Ecuador (I think this was the screamer from top of the box)

Is there such a date as landon Donovan day on the calendar, or is that being introduced next year.

I'm unable to view this, keeps stop starting and it's unwatchable.

i'm sure if I need a fix of Donovan I won't have to look TOO far..

His 34th, the penalty against Mexico was huge. That was the Gold Cup, I believe that was one he missed but it was re-taken.

Yes, I like LD, but really. The best 42? Cuba? Cuba does not really play soccer! They are a baseball nation. LD hitting a homer against Cuba would be more impressive!
This is rather embarrasing. There are better videos out there that are the top 10. Stop there. I understand your fervor, but really, he is trying to play in the PL, against much better players, and showing PK's and goals against Cuba does not impress even me.
I will be impressed if he puts one in against Chelsea. Now that would be a highlight. Not this.

Let us Yanks have some fun. We understand Cuba isn't Chelsea but regardless we are happy to see one of our best field players fitting in with a good team in the EPL.

Nonetheless I enjoyed the video. If he has space and a slot for a shot he can finish. I think Everton could do well exploiting Donovan on a fast break providing options are available and its not a 3 on 1 situation. Just need the other blues to keep up! :P

regaurdless of the class of opposition some of his finishes and off the ball running are top class, strange routine for some pen's though.

You're not kidding. Ive been watching that for years now and still have no idea what it is. It's like a Vatican chipmunk skit. I can't recall anyone asking him about it in an interview. Whatever it is I'm sure the goalie is thinking the same thing we are and that is never a bad thing.

if you take out all the penalties, I'd wager that 2/3 of the remainder are him at a full sprint toward goal, usually a breakaway from midfield.

He is lethal on breakaways and going full-tilt toward goal. Classic counter attack king. Hope he stays a blue for some time...

That's probably about right. One thing I've noticed so far with him at Everton is that this aspect of his game is not being exploited. I can count at least a couple of occasions per match where he was able to break beyond the left back into lots of space, but the ball was never delivered.
