Need to have more riding on these choices, it should be which one do you choose to keep and watch and which one gets binned off forever.

This makes it far harder as like I said Alien is the film you would dissect in film school to analyse a perfect example of how a director builds tension and show you can create a wonderful piece of cinema on a budget. I would usually choose this film over its sequel, however if it meant not seeing Aliens ever again I might change my mind as Aliens is undeniably the more entertaining of the two.
