Occasionally creates is exactly the problem. If we can shift his wages and get a fee for him, we can try and get someone in who scores or assists more frequently. He’s also be leaving for free next summer as things stand.
On paper - yes of course

However are you familiar with the "try to get someone in who scores or assists more frequently" history of Everton Football Club?

Thanks to that carthorse that we are still playing premier league football. He is no messi, but with the money teams are prepare to pay us, we wouldn't be able to get a replacement in. I would keep him and try to get him to sign that extension.
In the same way we're still here thanks to Dele, yeah.

1) None of them are, but he's better than most
2) Valid, but we're also trying to survive and I do not know where the replacement energy/chances come from
3) See #1
Danjuma and Jack Harrison will be a lot more effective than Alex Iwobi.

The lad has been absolutely awful for 3.5 years, he literally ran around a bit last year and through some crosses in. He scored 2 goals, 2 goals does not help when you’re “trying to survive”

It literally did help, though. Perhaps definitively so.

That we now have the luxury to try and get value out of him if we can is a fair argument, although I question whether we'd see any meaningful result of it in the near term.

If we actually get over 20 million for him, it'll be a bigger sign of football being finished than any Saudi or super league could dream of

He assisted 8 to be fair.

But also to be fair he had 5 by October and then 3 in the remaining 25 games so that tells you he slumped hard.

Also he had 5 when just about every ball had to go through him - he also had many errors in that time but we won/drew a few so it was okay. We were still terrible, mind.

Nobody has made a bid for him. There is no money being offered.

As for the highlighted bit. Have we not suffered enough? 3 long excrutiating years. We're nearly free of him.
Dont be cruel now

He also played a totally different position under Dyche for half the season than the central role he played under Frank

If you have no recognised CF in the team then you have to spread the goals about. This has never been part of his game. Mind there is no-one in our current Midfield that you could say that about (McNeil changed last year but prior years his goal tally was not good). Iwobi has not been useful in that sense.
Everton are no longer in that situation (thanks to todays signing) BUT we are only an injury or two away from being back there.
If anything has been the hallmark of this window its been buying players who can and have scored goals. Iwobi is not that player.
