He played Davies into a good crossing position instead and we're back in it. He's done really well.

I think the combination of midfielders in this game is the abomination and not necessarily his play early in that central position. Having said that, Carlo threw him a bone. He had to take advantage.

I can’t understand people saying he is useless. I’m not saying that was great, but i think he looks capable of creating chances in the centre. He runs a short distance and creates an angle for a pass quite well. If Rico and Dom were more alive to his movement, there could be a few chances. But they seem to ignore him or give it away often. His defending isn’t great, I don’t like him on the wing in front of Holgate.
Don’t think he held his position properly when he was in the middle, seemed to be coming too deep looking for the ball which dragged Dcl and more obviously Richie into the 10 position he was supposed to be in. Not surprised he’s moved him out wide
Can’t understand the hate he’s getting after that half. Best half for us for ages.
He hasn't been brilliant but none of his midfield colleagues have been good enough. They all deserve criticism.
