Great on the ball just not so great when he actually needs to shoot.

Fan's will warm to him, his style's really easy on the eye and if he can add consistency in his end product he'll do well, could see him being a Pienaar type or potentially long term a central player where his career began.

That said 35 million is still about 10-15 million too much but we've put ourselves in this mess not getting a deal sorted earlier.

In all fairness its not the statement signing we all wanted after the Zaha and multiple other players we have been linked with this summer but he's come from a top club with an abundance of attacking quality. His stats seem quite decent. He gives us various options. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on here.

Mate this is no different so us signing United rejects over the past 10 years. That’s what he is

Arsenal fan here. He's not a top player, a decent player but we're happy with the fee:

Strengths

Close control/dribbling
First touch
Strength
Pace
Link Up play
Workrate
short passing game
ball retention

Weaknesses

Finishing - his technique and placement is poor

He's also much better as a CAM than a winger. I expect he could progress with more game time.

It was a surprise to many of us he made it out of our academy over others

This is a nonsense, the best thing about him is his ball retention decision making, albeit not in front of goal
Thanks for the rational post and not being a wum. Hope he is better than Walcott.

He's definitely more of a winger mate. Hardly have plenty of cover there. If Bernard or Richy get injured then we have Walcott and Mirallas as wingers...........
Tell you what, the money on Iwobi is wasted. Would rather be rinsed on Zaha, who is very good, than waste tens of millions on a far inferior player.
