Come on , own up as to how many of you had a pair of the Alan Ball Hummel boots?
I loved them and tried my best to play like my idol when they were on my feet. I was devastated when i outgrew them. So let's hear your stories of them wondeful white boots

Its in My Bally Sermon , but Xmas 1971 DID NOT HAPPEN IN OUR HOUSE .

Me Ma's B'day when he was sold , an' I got an Amber 8 - Im ALL Left Foot , an' a pair of White Hummell's on the day ...

Nightmare doesn't quite say it ...

My worst christmas ever, that's always is in my thoughts on the 22nd of December without fail BAAAHHH HUMBUG!

Can i ask as it was well before my time, why was he sold at 26 basically his peak, did we need the cash? or did he want to move on?

I've heard all sorts of rumours as to why this Everton "GOD" left our beloved team. There was talk of gambling debts, Harry Catterick thought it was good buisness to sell a player for double to what they paid but who knows, i've even hear that Bally cried when he left Everton

The rule with white boots is if you wear them you have to be sh1t hot, hence the reason i wear black ones

No. Bally LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE who played for England In Mexico- had a poor season the year after . Catt' panicked an' took the London Lucre . Doubling his money . It was without doubt THE WORST piece of business in Everton History .

Look at us 2 . 40 years later . Still fukn crying about it .

Bally cried on leaving too ,...
