Alan Ball was before my time. But i've read about him and all the stories of his greatness. To say he was a great player was an understatement, but i think the reason he is so revered is that he got the club, he got Everton, he loved Everton and the supporters, and the supporters loved him back. That quote i love this place i want this place forever is so touching.Of course he always saved the best for our neighbours! When you read about Alan Ball and that great Everton team he played in, it kind of smacks you in the face how important it is, that we strive to get Everton back to that level again. We are Everton a true giant of football, no offence to these clubs but we are not West Ham or Stoke.

So Alan Balls legacy has to be respected and there is no better way to pay tribute to that, than by getting this club back in the winners enclosure again.Im just trying to pay due respects to a giant of a man and a giant of an Evertonian. When you think about how much Alan Ball loved Everton and compare that love and devotion to someone like Ross Barkley (apologies for evening mentioning that fella in the same sentence as Bally) you just have to shake your head in despair.Modern football sucks.

Alan would be tearing his hair out seeing a performance like that today and all the crap that has gone since the start of the season.
Lovely to see his family still have an affection for Everton.
Big pity that some no marks think they are good enough to be Everton players.
Not one of them in the team today would be given the right to tie his boot laces...............
