AJ and the diving slurs

Sack Sky and donate to GOT...donations are needed
Sky were up to their tricks yesterday trying to hint that the clear penalty we were award came about because AJ dived. I say up to their tricks because Aidy Boothroyd, the Watford manager praised AJ to the hilt after the game. He said that if a player can get the home fans on his back that much then he will be playing well and doing his job adding that it is unfair to suggest that AJ is a diver, the lad is no cheat. To me those words have showed that sportsmanship is alive and well and living in Watford. Boothroyds were remarkably frank words for any opposition manager to say about any opponent so why do Sky persist with that slur this morning, I suspect that it is a hidden agenda to create stories even though there is no element of truth to them, something the Murdoch media is pretty good at:angry:   .

What do you think?

take no notice, a thought has just occured to me, sky out manouvred branson when virgin media tried to buy itv/granada, sky moved in and bought a fifth, stopping the takeover. itv/granada own shares in the RS dont they.

there are that many avenues of conspiracy, its getting beyond a joke.

as for sky, they can have their opinion, proper fans follow their actual team, not relying on murdoch propaganda for their fix of football. (note: following a team, doesnt require actually getting to goodison, because in no way does being hundreds or thousands of miles away dilute your being an evertonian)

I agree sky tend to whip everything up out of all proportion but i guess there selling a product to be fair i think its the army of [Poor language removed] supporters who cover the games rather than the iold pros who i think are sympathetic. To be fair goals on sunday showed all the stone wallers aj hasnt been given this year.

On a seperate note if we qualify for Europe with Aj in the team i feel we will be awarded a raft of penalties.

I think its the sad state of English media and thier infleuence on the national game/team that they build up heros only to knock them down.

What you say is right but wasn't it a great piece of sportsmanship by Boothroyd to say what he did, could you imagine the Onion, Wenger, Mourinho or Fergie being that honest, I don't think so. We should also bear in mind that he was indiecrtly knocking his own supporters for the boo's directed at AJ, brave man.(y)

You beat me to it Monty, i dont know if you are talking about the actual commentary during the game, as i didn't see it as i haven't got sky sports and my planned visit to the pub to watch the game was interupted by the unexpected arrival of my wifes relatives, it would have been more than my lifes worth to sneak out.........though i tried every trick in the book, i.e are we alright for milk sweetheart ?.... we are !....how about bread ?
I'm talking about the presenters on sky sport news, if i had to stay in the least i deserved was that channel on in the background
Twice during the first half the so called impartial [Poor language removed] presenters came out with phrase's like " went over in the box " and " went down in the penalty area "
I swear to god i've never been so [Poor language removed] angry and pissed off at TV presenters in my life, they deserved a [Poor language removed] good slap if not the sack for coming out with crap like that.
They must have had e-mails during the break because they started saying " bought down in the box "
It was too little too [Poor language removed] late, they were blatant digs at AJ, i'm still riled up now, i cant believe he is still having to put up with this " cheat " nonsense.

Well Latch I honestly believe that they are doing it deliberately, how can they bring the lads honesty into question when

1 The match officials awarded the penalty

2 Watfords own manager praised his display and said clearly that it was unfair to accuse him of diving

3 Keith Hackett has stated we had been robbed of another eight penalties where officials had decided against AJ. In my book they had been listening to the Sky [Poor language removed] propaganda.

Unfortunately if we protest about it that in itself gives them a story that will be based on the 'they would say that' scenario.

mujrdoch only understands one thing, money. the only way to hurt hism is in the pocket, sadly the british market isnt his aim now, the prem ks such a brand that it is solf world wide.

sky perpetuate the best sky earners, its simlpe business.

AJ is not a diver.

end of.

Its just that big nose Warnock who cant take losing just blames someone for his [Poor language removed] club.

You have admire the integraty of the man was fantastic, and as you say theres reading between the lines in his comments, i.e. hungry media junkey bateing him to stick the knife in aj or to crack under the pressure of looseing a must win game in a relegation battle and let himself down. But Bothroyd more or less saying will you get a grip on reality and back in your box son. Its a brave man that goes against the mob particularly when they pay your wages.

Onion red cheeks could learn a trick or two in that integrity is better than glory!
