Player Valuation: £10m
Got to admit i do follow the Scottish game and have a soft spot for Celtic as i have Scottish relatives and thats their team. Rumours abound that Aiden McGeady and Gordon Strachan have fallen out and there is some kind of rift between them. Really think it would be worth it for us to monitor the situation and if McGeady decides to move on (as some rumours suggest) we make a move. Would be a cracking player for us.

He's come on alot over the past year, improved his end product which is the main thing he was lacking. He's got alot going for him, fairly quick, good crosser and skillful.

He'd be a good signing for us although I'd like to see him stay at Celtic for another year or so, it'll be good for his development.(y)

Would have to move quick - Man Utd are sniffing around...

I know it may have just been a Champions League related piece, but Sir Alex was out saying how they were unfortunate to miss out on him when he was a kid and wanted to join Celtic.

Could be nothing, but wouldn't be surprised, with this bound to be Scholes & Giggsy's last season if they try and bring him in either in Jan or next summer.

I dont think the money required to sign him wouldbe good value for what we would get. After seeing him a lot for Ireland hes less effective then the likes of Stephan Hunt and Andy Reid. Id have reservations about him in the Prem to be honest.

Alot of players aren't as effective for there country though, some of the best players in the world to be honest.

McGeady definatly has talent, he looked very good on the European stage and held us own against some very good teams. I think the price would be a problem though as you say, he'd cost alot of money.

Agree with Neiler.
He is only finding his feet with Ireland. I think he would struggle in the prem as the moment.
