Surely even if he stayed he would be 4th choice for the right wing behind, Del, Mirrallas and Lennon.

I'm sure he will go back out on loan, probably to villa or someone like that.

Just release him on a free.

Players this bad being around the first team set up would just lower morale for the entire squad.

If it were me in a job, and someone that useless was getting paid around the same money I was to do the job terribly, I'd be annoyed.

Let him go to Hibs or whatever. If it means paying towards his wages, so be it.

That said, Everton are the club that just renewed Darron Gibson's contract...

Gibson can be decent, he's just a crock, + he's homegrown so i think that played a role too. McGeady is just terrible

True this. Although surprising that Gibson had his contract renewed (I would imagine this bodes well for Tom Davies and other u21 prospects to step up and not be blocked by a high earning, established midfielder).

Gibson has put in some memorable performances for us (City Away a few years back he was sublime). Mcgeady has always been a bit rubbish and has never won me over. Couple of nice crosses, one good through ball and a goal at Leicester. That is it.

Surely someone will buy him for £1-2m? I can't believe Sheff Wed bid £4m for him in Jan and he turned them down. Would have been great business!
Naismith £8m, McGeady £4m - would have covered the £13.5m we spunked on that 34 year old amateur league player.

Plus getting rid will free up the number 7 shirt for someone with talent.
