Was he just NEA then? He wasn't great last season, but hardly anyone was - and he played just once this season I think. So it's not like he's been stinking the place out, week on week.

Roberto seems like a reasonably fair-minded man, though, (Robles apart). So if he's cast him adrift there's probably a good reason for that.
 

Glad he's back playing again and getting some much needed game time before the Euros.

He's still a very good footballer - it just didn't work out for him at Everton. We move on.
 

Having seen that first half of his against Barnsley, and being likely to wake up screaming due to re-experiencing it via the medium of nightmares for the rest of my life, hopefully he will stay in Sheffield.
 
Holy cr@p he's 29!! I remember him playing Aberdeen when he was breaking through at Celtic. Terrorised us but in fairness he was little more than a show pony / luxury player but not quite good enough to justify it.

At that age you'd have to think he's never reached his potential. I guess the fact that it was championship clubs in for him says everything. Hope he's a success with the Owls but only so that they buy him.
