Ive already re-newed, cant really for the love of God work out why, but there you go.

Rather than kick it under the bed, what do you suggest we do about it?

We all admit it wasnt the greatest result.

Well discuss why we think they fail to beat teams like this, and whether or not we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

Well of course we will renew - if I can afford it like. But that's not the point I'm making. It seems we can discuss the team when they have a great result, but when they don't perform it's kind of kicked under the bed.

It's strange.

Eh? This place seems to be full of criticism of the team, as well as praise. If anything, the stick given to them is entirely disproportionate, such as fairly embarrassing threads like this one.

I'm not embarrased, if you don't like it do one.

We failed to win cos we couldnt put that round thing in that mesh type thingy.

Unless you wanna look deeper? Cant we just blame Kenwrong and move on?

Only 3-4 days ago we had just smashed City at Home, few weeks before that United and Chelsea had been spanked like a Puppy and sent back to London, yes London.

But in between, Birmingham and now this, Spurs. Its football, unpredictable.

Before this game we where 2nd to the Champions in the form League, things aint really all that bad.

Well that's what I've been saying. Do we have a mental block when an opportunity to progress presents itself. It's a fair question if you ask me.

I just think people are too afraid to discuss stuff like this.

Motivation might be a factor, yeah its easy to get up for City Away, United at Home, Chelsea, not so much for Wolves Away, Stoke at Home and so on.

Or maybe we have become a team people fear, maybe others raise their games. We no longer slip under the radar, we are regarded as a top team these days.

it's called denial.

I'll be honest when i watch a game live there's not a great deal i remember afterwards as my head is in bits with either the elation or the opposite, plus you are never getting the best view in the world so stuff in the far corner it's hard to absorb. I can probably do the annalising thing better with other teams as there is no emotional attachment.
I don't know if that makes sense but i am so absorbed in what is happening that what has just happened unless memorable leaves my head. If i could sit down afterwards and watch a replay of the game on tv then I could do it then, it's always easier when watching live on tv though, but even then though i get to lost in it.
I don't go to be a pretend manager though, we have a bloke that I have faith in for that, when I don't then everyone around me will know about it as will he.

It's just my opinion. I don't think this club is ready to be part of the elite. They need to be more arrogant as a club, and more ruthless as a team. If you think your the best then you win games, why do you think Liverpool have hung on for so long?

I dont think we are anywhere near cl, I suppose I do the talking shoite nonsense as a diversion from the disappointment, but as I say I get so into the atmos and stuff that I sometimes cant remember what has happened when i leave the ground, I'll probably leave 1 of the kids there 1 day by mistake.

Well I think we are close to CL - I think the team has the potential to be CL side, on paper anyway. They seem to suffer with believing it themselves.

Then you have the manager who decides to take off attacking players for defensive players when we need a goal. Makes you wonder.

i used to absorb more of what went on when i sat in the top balc, as in not get lost in it, prob cos it lacked atmos and it is good for observing up there.

Well that could be true, but I very rarely get lost in the moment unless it's a Rodwell Man U incident where I still have bruises from flying over seats.

Generally I don't sing, I don't celebrate wildly anymore (unless its a match winner), not too bothered about the atmosphere, i'm watching the game and the movement of the players. Trying to study it more these days.

I watch other teams and I count how many players they can pass to, and which players are passing and then moving into position. Then I watch Everton and look for the same kind of movement, options, intelligence etc...

Sometimes I'll be wrong and I'll say it, but all my opinions are based around honest assessment, or as much assessment as I can muster. Like today for example I only heard the game, didn't see it. So I have to take the commentators word for it - and it came across like how have we not won this game.

Thing is, I believed we could beat City, Chelsea and Man U. Felt we had the team for it. Today we should have beat Wolves, we have the team for it, but I didn't believe we could beat them. So why is that?

I honestly believe they are afraid to be successful, and this has been drenched through the club since the early 90s. Liverpool have not won the league in almost 2 decades, yet they are still seen as one of the sides in the running each year, and they haven't really had that good a team in all that time.

Belief, it's all about the belief.

If we took a straw poll on whether the fans believed we could win the league again in their lifetime and I reckon most would say probably not.

you're not exactly sitting in the best place to see the game how you want to, you'd be better upstairs.

r/s believe it every year because they are blerts, they say they will win it every year because they still think they are what they were 20 years ago, and the press don't help on that score.

When r/s did used to win it all the time, they could rub the mancs noses in it that they hadn't won the league for so long, yet every year they would spout that it was their year and the papers would install them as favourites to win the league.
kopites have now become the man utd fans of the 80's. I like to remind them of this and suggest they should put the line from the James song in one of their anthems....
"I've become the kind of man I always hated"

Well I sit in the Street end cos its cheap.

And the R/S have belief and that's half the battle, the fact that they **** it up is their own fault, buy they get there on sheer belief, cos it ain't because of Lucas Leiva and Ngog.

You've just ranted for hours about the shortcomings of today, and got a dig in at Moyes, and you only listened to it on the radio? And you got all livid over Sharps opinion?
