Advice on an ebook reader?

I didn't think I would like an e-reader as I'm pretty old school about books. I like them. I like the way they feel and look. But to my surprise, I love Kindle app. It's too damn convenient. Plus any book published before 1921 is FREE. Which means all the classics are free. I'm going to start working through 19th century French authors and English Victorian novelists when I have the time.

Got a Kindle this week. Amazed by it. I was anti eboook
Reader, but these are great. ePub looks better than PDFs but I read a lot of those.

I am fighting it, love my books, I think ereaders are close to blasphemous and I am worried they could signal the death of the printed book. Still, they are clever. I expected CD's to be replaced by MP3's I never saw the whole ebook thing coming.

I felt this too. If you have someone who has one, borrow it. It's a fantastic experience! It appear on the screen identical to printed ink!

I never thought I'd enjoy reading as much as the printed version but since I've had my iPod I've read tonnes of books. It couldn't be more convenient. I must have 1000 books and I think they only take up half a gig memory.

I love books. I mean, I really love books. Not just reading them, but seeing them all sitting proudly on my shelf, it is wonderful.

BUT

eReaders are awesome. The convenience they bring for when I am travelling is unparalleled. And I love downloading the free samples to see if the book is worth buying, all at my own choosing.
