At some point it would have been far too frustrating to only get games here and there when all he wanted to do was play every week which is why now in the team again he is starting to show flashes of his old self.

Personally i would have sold him after his fustrating lashings out last season but seems that was a martinez factor as well as they seem to have gone away by magic now the spaniard isn't here

Well he didn't have any lashings out last year really. It was in 2014-15, after the penalty incident and him supposedly getting denied the chance to speak to Atleti.

It was then surprising that he signed a new deal in summer 2015. He was always gonna stay summer 2016 as Koeman used him a lot in pre-season and he's been the go-to guy.

But his deal runs out in 2018, so I imagine we'll be seriously considering any offers that come in the summer.

sure you aren't getting mixed up? He was sent off vs swansea in august last year, was sent off against west ham this year as well, both needless red card as well.

the penalty was the year before though.

Yeh, last year that was just him being stupid tbh, more than anything

Probably.

Still doesn't excuse crap form like, and he hasn't torn up any trees this season, though he has actually looked lively when played in the correct roles.
 

I wonder if sometime this year we'll have three teenagers on the pitch at the same time in Lookman, Davies, and DCL. Once we've got him settled into training, RK has done the " it's a big step up to PL, only 19, one for the future , don't heap big expectations on his shoulder" bit then you'd expect him to be on the bench sooner rather than later.... and then we take it from there.

Have you seen much of both him & Calvert lewin the difference in reported prices is quite large wasnt Calvert lewin was only a couple million.

I suppose I'm asking is lookman expensive or a real potential superstar or have we managed to pick up a real bargain in Calvert lewin.
