Wow... surely then Moyes doesn't rate him that much? We could afford 500K, and if he's gone to Wolves of all places, maybe he's been overhyped?

Quite shocked to be honest, I spoke to Lee his brother two weeks back and he was adamant that Blackpool where his destination. They offered him 10k a week, first team football(Been there before). Looks like MMc's results of late have secured his job, one of the reasons why he was reluctant to go in the first place. Apparently, Moyes was "sceptical" about signing Hammill due to his Liverpool roots.

I'd be disappointed if that was Moyes' reason for not signing the lad, after all we got the likes of Sheedy, Watson and Morrisey from them.

Seems a great signing by Wolves there for the price.

Hope it's just down to the fact we're looking at other options, that we didn't snap him up

Plus another potential 3mil off Yobo in the summer.

We're getting rid of a lot of players, and we're not getting much dosh for any of them. That's what's worrying me. If/when we get replacements, there's no way we're going to be able to get the same amount of quality and quantity.

We got £1 million for the Yak's loan, £2.7ish million for Pienaar and we're getting some cash for Vaughan's loan too. We can afford 500K.

We essentiall have £4m from those sales/loans, but it just depends how much of that Moye sees.

You're right though, we could have afforded Hammill so obviously we've decided to look elsewhere.

I'm hoping that's the case. Surely he wouldn't turn us down for Wolves? :S

No we'd have heard about it if it had ever reached the stage of formal discussions.

I reckon Moyes has had a look at him, been slightly interested, but thought better of it.

There's definitely a few transfers ready to come in - we have more than that £4m, total transfer kitty is around £6-7m.
