Accepting where we are

we're a bit [Poor language removed] now but i really believe we can push on idk, i'd like to think it's not out of the realms of possibility that we could step up our level to eventually become a regular champions league team but for the moment mid table it is

Accepting mediocrity has been Everton's problem for too long. I will NEVER accept mediocrity, and no Evertonian should EVER accept mediocrity.

We are Everton Football Club. Don't EVER effin' forget it.
Is right Lad.
We were bad early 80,s and things changed. They will again I’m sure, and hopefully this time we’ll sustain it.

That is what the board want every fan to think. Pay your money, make up the crowd to keep the tv companies interested, but we have no interest in success at all.

Really fans should just boycott every game until the board stop being s complete and utter embarrassment. Instead we sell out every week. Why should they change anything, the punters turn up regardless.
This....as you know we were all warned a while ago regarding the "ambition" of our incompetent board and yet a big part of our fanbase continued to laud them despite losing 2 semi finals and one final with no trophies for 23 years. Until we do as you suggest nothing will change and imo will continue to slide...very sad but true

Apart from a couple of little clumps of trophies in a few season's span, we've always been an average club.

The combination of repeated false dawns by Everton, and football in general being ruined by money and commercialism, is killing off my enthusiasm for the sport. It's not even like I expect us to compete with the money clubs, a bit of competence running throughout our club would suffice. If teams like Atalanta and Lyon can put together a decent looking outfit on a fraction of our budget, then what we're currently being served up is a disgrace, and has been for a while. Clubs like Swansea, Wigan and Birmingham City have won a cup since we last managed it. Middlesbrough and Fulham have been to European finals ffs. Sort it out Everton you gang of wasters.

Accept? No way. More like 'please see the reality'. And reality is we are really poor team. No way I am going to accept that though.

Currently, yes we are mediocre at best, but we haven’t missed our chance to close the gap or even join the top 4. With the 150 million or whatever we spent in the summer, with better recruitment we could have got the players which would have us challenging at the top end of the table rather than the bottom.

This season is a write off, but I am looking forward to what we do in the transfer market next summer

There's too many vested interests at this club and it's destroying the stability of the club. All our key figures have personal interests which are to the detriment of the on field success of the club.

Allardyce - frantically trying to promote himself to get another season and a new deal, deliberately lowering expectations right to the bottom for his own agenda.

Walsh - frantically trying to justify his wage, role, and job security. No interest in doing what is right for the club.

Moshiri - Liverpool waters and ££££££

Elstone - survival on the board amd as CEO

Senior Players - cushy positions in the club where moving on a level would take them out of their comfort zones and get them binned in all likelihood.

I could go on. It's a sham.
