Definitely needs to improve his attitude.

His ability on the ball and general awareness improved dramatically though. He has the ability and physique to be a decent player, not a special one by any means, but decent.

Yeah, but not good enough for Everton unfortunately. I actually thought Vaughan was a better player, in terms of finishing. But he lacked the pace.

Vaughan is a very quick player. He was up there with the country's best in his youth in 100m sprinting.

Vaughan went to school in Wolverhampton and was spotted by Everton's talent scouts while playing in the Preston area. Vaughan was also a talented young sprinter, running the 100 metres in 11.5 seconds as a 13 year old, the third fastest time for his age in Britain.[2] He joined Everton's Youth Academy and was voted by his fellow team-mates as the Under-16s player of the season for 2003–04.

I always thought he was very quick.

At 13 he could run "the third fastest time for his age in Britain", I doubt he can do now. The long term inuries to his knees will have taken a massive toll on his pace. Im not saying hes slow, im just saying hes not as fast as he was.

With the exception of Yobo he's probably the quickest player we have on our books. Although I'm not sure with Distin and Coleman, who are also quick players.

He might not be as quick as he was, but he's not far off. I saw him running at full flow against Manchester Utd, he's still a very powerful runner.

And mate, he's not 13 anymore. He wouldn't be allowed to enter that sprinting age group anyway.

Strange that I don't see him as being pacy.

To be honest I doubt we will see him as anything like he was. Too many injuries will take it's toll.

Is he injured? Even when he was fit he wasn't in the squad.

Theres not really any need to use that tone with me. I know hes not 13 anymore.

I dunno, maybe if I ever see him on the pitch again I will look at it again, hes never struck me as a fast player, lots of running yes, but if he really is as pacy as you claim "still", I have yet to see it.
