Baines said:
"I think we need to create more chances and give the lads up front something to go on.

"They aren't getting the goals because we aren't giving them anythig to go off.

"We aren't creating enough for them, so hopefully we can improve in that area."

"It's not often you see one of our strikers running through with only the keeper to beat," he said.

"I think we have got to look for more than set pieces.

"We have got to start cutting people open and being a little braver when we get near the oppositions goal and trying things.

"Sometimes that is what it takes to unlock the door.

"We are fully capable of beating Middlesbrough so that is what we will be looking to do."

I want to see this guy drawing up training plans in future for everyone else in the team including Moyes. Spot bleeding on lad! Could not have put it any better myself.
I normally HATE quotes from our players, but this is absolutely wonderful to read. Let's hope they take heed from these mighty words.

Baines for Captain.

Read that yesterday and [Poor language removed] it hit the spot! Something that we all hoped the manager would work on and then a player comes out and says it.

Means nothing if it doesnt happen on the pitch though. CANT WAIT FOR THE GAME!

bainsey

what a [Poor language removed] star. nxt club captain . same last week vs kharkiv , with the we were [Poor language removed] at the back quote . more power to ya lad . lcab (y)

Baines is a great purchase. Love to see him play on our leftside. Good defensively and offensively.. in addition to saying things he feels. Hope that won't get him into troubles with teammates though.

At the end of the day it comes down to the tactics and startegy that Moyes wants the team to play to. I think this is also a major factor why BT scoring touch went off and now 7 out of 7 because they are playing with wide men. It cannot be simply a case of playing in a lower division. I believe it is also a factor why AJ's scoring touch has deserted him.
