Having watched yet another abject failure at home at fortress Goodison not only do we not have anyone on the pitch whop can step up, take the game by the scruff of the neck and get verbal to try and sort it out, but after the game when obvious mistakes are made our manager comes out and says yes mistakes were made but they are down to numerous players making mistakes before hand? Totally mystified!!!

For the penalty one of Distin or Jags should put in row Z, or if Howard gave the shout (iwas in the Park End so could not hear any shout), then not only should they leave it but Howard should make sure he gets it!!!!!!

For their second if you come for a cross, make it, gone are the days when keepers command the box, not only should Howard have taken the cross he should have wiped out the huge Campbell..

As already stated on lots of Toffeeweb and GOT posts, when all the results go our way all we have to do is win an away game against the team bottom of the prem and probably will be their or there abouts at the end of the season and we royally cock it up, still, their is always the derby and after that performance I dont think Brenda will have to rush Sturridge back, Sterling etal will rip us a new one..............

Still, their is always the Europa Cup.........

Sigh

Well no, those aren't his best attributes.

I just started typing what they are, but then I realised that if you don't know what they are by now you've either not been watching for the however many years or you do but don't seem to value them.

Phil Jagielka, the new everton pantomime villain.

Good grief.

Code:
I just realised he's a yard dog whose best attributes are lashing the ball out of defence and last-gasp tackles after giving possession away far too easily

We've had some cracking knee jerk threads on here over the past day.

It's been some time since we've had so many after one game.

It's just boring though don't you think mate? I mean sure we played badly, yes we expected to win, but Christ this place is ridiculous.

Did people think there wouldnt be bumps along the way this season? Second season, teams knowing what we are about tactically was always going to be tougher. Equally did people think that our players are immune from a loss of form?

It's beyond naivety.

You reap what you sow. Our abject pre-season (no other words to describe it) set a precedent as to how our season has started. I don't think we have really recovered. Pre-season there were numerous poor performances that was in total contrast to the pre-season the year before. Quality opposition (juve, real and Valencia) in quality stadia, which resulted in us raising our game and being challenged, which resulted in us being fully prepared for the new season.
Bar a few minutes in each game we have been unable to sustain any type of intensity in our play this season. The palace game best illustrated this. Early goal, but we lacked the intensity to put the game to bed before the half hour. Up until their penalty I don't think they had even been in our half.
The one saving grace is that we have the quality within the squad to turn it around. Hopefully within the next month we shall see the return of 2 crowd favourites (Barkley and Oviedo) but more importantly two fine footballers who will significantly increase the quality within the side. It might just take their return to kick start our season.
