2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

What kind of response is that? Prentice? Echo? Dyche? So called Everton fan? Is that all you can come up with? Stupid, jibes? Your lack of respect is appalling. Bye
Touched a nerve ? so I say I was on right track, after 54yrs you lot are easy to spot. Kenwrigts buddies

I don't think the question was how often does blueboy72 talk about him. Farrelly gets brought up when relegation games get brought up, same as Doucoure will.

Not sure why this is something that would irritate anyone
Doucoure’s Bournemouth goal gets talked about because it’s fresh in tve
Memory and he’s still our player, my point is , in 25 yrs it won’t get talked about that much, because nearly getting relegated should be brushed under the carpet

The whole thing maybe but iconic moments are iconic moments.

Graham Stuart and Barry Horne are iconic. Jimmy Glass for Carlisle etc. Football is mainly about moments above anything else.

Moments of joy in rubbish times.

Each to their own thoughts I guess. I was there in 94 and 98 and don’t get me wrong I hear what you’re saying, I just don’t see it as iconic, rather more relief and embarrassed about.

We have some shocking "Evertonians" here, I am a positive Bluenose but sometimes even I despair at some of the attitudes here. We win today, a massive, unexpected three points, but still some come out of their dark places and slag the scorer etc. Why bother? Ultimately, I think it's down to intelligence.
Some people just wanna watch the world burn.

I get what you mean too but I have never felt embarrassed about Everton. It's not like we can change teams (I mean we could, but we wont!)

I feel there is a difference between an icon and legend. Icons are made in a moment, legends are made in a lifetime.

Or something like that...
