Well we've already panicked by paying 10m for an unproven South American defender, I don't see why our hand cant be forced again for Lennon. We're clearly being played as clowns in this window.

To be fair the only good deal we have got in recent years is Gerard. And even there we were probably fleeced - if he's any good Barca take him back, if he fails, we are stuck with him.

We refuse to look else ware. Levy knows that so basically it's Lennon or we don't get a player and we need a player. If we were to move Levy would sell him to a lesser club for 9m easily.

If it didn't really matter whether we go for him or not then things might be different. If we had of bought another winger before now either Shaqiri or Yarmolenko etc then we probably would have got him for 4m but Levy knows he's going to be a starter for us not a squad player.

He's worth no more than £3-4m imo. Out of contract in June, we could basically get him for buttons in January, don't see why we'd effectively pay £9m for a loan, and then he's free next season to join.
