Yeah but it was good while it lasted. Good photo though, looks just the right side of mad. the type of celebration that does your head in if he scores against you but if he did it in a blue shirt.........

Why is he a tool? Because he has been one of the best players at euro 2008? Has put himself, his club and his nation in the footballing limelight or because people have finally realised he has been one of the best if not the best players in the russian league for the past 5 years and only now is he being linked to teams he has been capable of playing for a long time? A team like Barca's interest has been long overdue when it comes to Arshavin, he hasnt just suddenly become good at the euros. Because we seem to have missed the boat signing him, doesnt make him a crap player. If you ask me it is more a reflection of how useless the board are. He is exactly the type of player we need, someone with pace and creativity and i opologise if my picture causes you distress, i just rate the guy highly and think the picture is class.

No need to apologise, just don't think that 2 games make him the player he is, he's getting on really - if he's been one of the best players in Russia for the past 5 years why has nobody heard of him till now?
He has orchastrated himself a move to a big club. As soon as interest was shown, he stopped performing, plus he's Russian and I don't like Russian people, arrogant and rude.

Calling someone a tool for no reason is rude. Yet you dont like Russian people because they are rude. Yet you are being rude yourself, thats hypocisy.
I didnt call you racist, disliking a whole nation of people because of any reason while not out and out xenophobic (which is different to racism) is still pretty stupid.
Fine, dislike any russians you may of met who are rude and arrogant, but theres no need to call their footballers tools and dislike the whole country because of it.
Ok it might just be throwaway comments on a mesageboard but i just dont see the need for them, and judging a whole nation of people and disliking them is only a small step away from bigger issues.

Sick of this, you can't say [Poor language removed] all in this country without being called to task about "big issues, and hidden agendas". I'm a nationalist does that make me a racist? Not saying you saying this, but that's the kind of attitude this country has now.
Right, I think Arshavin and his agents are tools because they are orchastrating a move to a big club to get a huge slice of money, plain and simple. I don't think the board were slow in making any moves, I just think that the Arshavin people have been delaying decisions, talks whatever until he had played in the European Champs. Do you honestly believe that if he played like he did against Spain in the other games he would get interest from Barcelona? I don't.
He performed, he got interest, he stopped performing.
Why do I dislike Russian people? Well I didn't until 3 years ago. I went on holiday to Turkey where apparently Russian people go, and walk around like they own the place, pushing past any one who gets in their way. Making the most noise, looking down their noses at English and Turkish people. This isn't just my opinion, the whole of the Turkish contingency in one resort said they are all like that, every year.
I thought, well maybe its a one off. But this year again we were in Turkey and I have never met so much rudeness. My father-in-law was sitting at the bar, and this Russian girl who thought she was god's gift, even though she was totally siliconed up by her rich russian billionairre dad, was sitting next to him. She pulled out a cigarette and just put it in her mouth, waiting for my father-in-law to give her a light, when he never she saw her arse, mouthed something in Russian and [Poor language removed] off.
There was so many cases of rudeness I can't imagine to describe them all. So I dislike the Russian people I have met. If I meet one who is nice, polite and genuine, then fair enough, but at the moment my opinion is that of dislike. That does not mean I am racist. I am not afraid of anything foreign. I have many friends who are Polish, who also dislike Russians, for the same reason I have said.
Anyway, back to Lennon - do you think he is worth the money? Because I feel recently he has been fairly poor.
