A Tiny Bit Of Hope

Great video.

A lot of (understandable) negativity around this summer, but when you look at our results I refuse to believe the team needs the kind of open-heart surgery some people are demanding. We played Chelsea 4 times, getting two wins and two draws. We took four points of the ****e, four off Spurs and six off City, the three teams we'll need to finish ahead of if we're to be in with a shot of 4th (which is still where we should have our sights set).

A couple of players have gone, a couple more will probably go, and a couple will come in, and I think we'll do okay.

Fair point. We also got kippered at home by west brom & didnt even bother turning up against reading

moyes can motivate against the big boys, we know this, it's his tactics against average teams that let him, and the fans down.

I cannot bloomin wait for the season to start!

Yes we might not set the world alight in the transfer market this summer but you know when we play, we can play. Our first 11 on their day will give any team in the Premier League a proper game.

So so what MichaelNicolas said.

I think we're ace.

It's a fair point.

I've been talking to Sunderland and Newcastle fans a lot recently, even one poor [Poor language removed] who supports Oxford and watched his team go from the top flight to non league football during his lifetime. And compared to a lot of other clubs we actually do pretty well. Not well enough, by any means, we should be winning trophies, and the fact that teams like Stoke, Bolton and Wolves outspend us is depressing as hell.

But in the same way we'd all swap places in a heartbeat with clubs like Arsenal who are supposedy "in crisis" if they haven't won the league in the last couple of years, there's fans of hundred of other clubs who'd give everything to see their club consistently finished between 4th and 8th in the top flight like we do.

A lot of this doom and gloom forgets that even in a terrible year like last year we didn't do that badly. Not good enough by any means but we're not ****e, like. There were games when we played some lovely football and it was just a delight to watch. For all the many things I don't like about the board, the manager and some of the players, I can't wait to see us play football again.

Makes me laugh like. Three years back, our problem was that under Moyes we could finish off the average teams but not compete against the big boys. Everyone was throwing around staistics about our record against the 'big 4' like no tomorrow.
