A Solution!

even if your skint lads do you reckon if we get the ball rolling we could get enough evertonians with money to do this? I'd be in

1. Why would they do this?

A plan like this would need flexibility, imagination and a willingness by all involved to compromise. Most of all it would require existing shareholders, including Kenwright and Earl, to accept a dilution (reduction) of their percentage interest in the club and thus to cede control to the co operative.

2. The club doesn't need an "injection of funds." It needs a sustainable revenue stream that can be counted on year after year (Arsenal?). Supporters putting 37.5 million in the club just gets the club through a few more years.

Barclay considers the dangers involved in so called sugar daddy ownership, pointing to the Hicks Gillett farce at Liverpool, the Glazers at United and, in a near miss of which we were unaware – how Everton might have contributed Alexandre “Sacha” Gaydamak to that list - had not Kenwright spotted a bad ‘un, refused to sell and sent him packing, after which he settled on Portsmouth and quickly took them into administration.

Interesting, at least they had a go like.

Hicks/Gillett and the Glazers aren't sugar daddy owners. That makes no sense at all, actually.

Gaydamak was a sugar daddy without the sugar.

TBH i would invest in this if it was viable, not that i would expect a return or anything but for the good of the club.

That said though i cant see it people get a cob on if the season ticket goes up by 5 pounds.

Even in a scenario in which I am a euromillions jackpot winner, the only investment I am prepared to guarantee is spanking new blue gravel around the pitch and the halftime return of Mr Testicles on it.

It would be cool and all however what if you invested 10K, what happens when/if you start losing money? You have to shell out more from your own pocket. Barca has almost unlimited funds, a TV deal 4-5 times what we have, and if they ever go under would most likely get bailed out from the govt.

This solution has been discussed on fans forums many times before and is something that I believe would be a goer, but it needs the board to initiate...

Don't think this will ever happen, an interesting idea though.

When I win Euromillions i'll be sure to give at least £50 mil to Everton.
