A privatised NHS.

What annoys me is the amount of general public who are so ignorant to what's happening to the NHS.

The NHS is important, but not as important as money or people's health, apparently.

And I'm not just talking about the privatising, but also the amount of hospitals that have been closed down.

Mrs R works in the NHS, after 15 years working in the private sector; it is a million miles away from being a privatised organisation!

A massive problem is Joe Publics expectations of the NHS. "I have a headache, I need to see my GP" type of stuff. Needs managing better cos loads of "managers" do not contribute at all, and the medical staff should be freed up to do what they do best.

Biggest employer in Europe isnt it? Hardly understaffed IMO.

Precisely want my parents say. My mum went from HSBC to the NHS and said it's embarrassing what goes on.

True Frank. Shift & weekends are the mega earners. Lol, I'll give another one... A bus cleaner reported to be on £50K plus!! So go-on Frank you know you wanna.. be a bus cleaner:lol:

Yeah the shift and unsociable hours bonuses I really miss from when I was NHS. But even if they are agency on double bubble surely it couldn't get that high surely?

Our tax is pretty much at least half what you would pay Frank, maybe more..
Had a chap bragging to me a while back that was shifting an easy £100K a year working in IT admin, the easiest money he's ever earned, hence his AMG ML-63 and his Penthouse which the Government were paying the rent on.
Rambling now, so back on topic then please Frank.:P

Ah fair enough my knowledge of tax is scant at best so I shall concentrate my attentions on that bus cleaning career matey.

Hmmm. Maybe there's other ways of doing it better, but IMO someone's financial situation should have nothing to do with their right to health care. The NHS is something to be proud of and I definitely prefer it to the American system.
