A new perspective on the January window?

With the probably loss of Arteta for 3 games coupled with the injury to Leon Osman and loss of Pienaar to the ANC we are possibly going to go into games with just Carsley, Graveson and Cahill as senior midfielders. When you consider that Graveson doesn't really look match fit and might not survive several games in close succession and our midfield looks very thin.

Do you think this will encourage Moyes to try and find an extra midfielder in the transfer window? Might it see VDM coming in from the cold?

i actually dont think moyes will buy anyone else unless he sells first.

mcfadden to me is the key.

he may sell mcfadden and with the dough buy a new midfeilder. not sure if it will be a winger or center mid. perhaps 1 of each are still needed ?

then again he may decide to keep mcfadden and play him on the wing.

other than that i can maybe see a free signing coming in just to make up the numbers , this looks likely to be vogel.

Why not just take the first 3 and leave Downing out. Even though Downing is the subject of Moyes dismissing press speculation, he is English and the only decent player at Boro, which means he will be waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy over-priced.

That's not going to happen even we do or don't sign any of the above we would bring someone in on loan that's for sure!

Why? We are short on number now even before Pienaar goes off to the nation cup, so I expect we would try to bring in someone suitable as soon as the window open!

I am sure alot of big team has good player who couldn't get a game and are not happy and wanted to get some first team game, that's where we are going to come in.

I dont see why its impossible to get either albedia or fernandes on loan, there not or are likley to be anywhere near the valencia first team for the rest of the season.

By all accounts Koeman (hes the valencia manage btw) feels that there is a problem in the dressing room and albedia is part of it, and we all know about his history with fernandes!

Why pay for players and take the risk when you can loan them and if they fail send them back. Alos i see know point in offering players big fat contracts when a six month deal, with a view to a permenent deal, would increase the motivation of the player to play.
