Jose's Baxter first diary entry. First of all- reading a player's diary is boss and this kid is a future legend, he even sounds legit.

Welcome to my first diary entry.
It's fitting because this is an important pre-season for me.
Last year, it came as a real surprise to play such a big part, to score my first Everton goal at Nottingham Forest and to be taken on the tour of America.

Of course I then made my full debut against Blackburn on the opening day of the Premier League season but I wanted to kick on more than I did.
I'm still only 18 though and hopefully this time round I'll have another good pre-season and take my chances to impress when they come.
I found out on Saturday that I would be coming to Scotland and was pleased by the news.
The hotel is lovely, the grounds are massive - it's just a shame I don't play golf! There's a massive course here - and don't we know it!
We were up at 7.30am this morning and running round the grounds by 8.
Training was between 11am and 1pm at a local school and it was good to get the balls out and take our minds off all the running. We met Skhodran Mustafi for the first time too and it's always good to welcome a new face on board.
So, as expected, it's been a hard day but I feel okay. Knowing what a big opportunity pre-season presents I've been trying to keep fit during the break by running and doing some weights. I'm hoping it's helping.
Now for a well-earned rest. I'm off to chill out and play some Pro Evo with Vaughany and James Wallace. Then bed. Knowing I earned it.

Gee I'm pretty he should know his own age, 17 almost 17 and a half. He's getting a bit ahead of himself, LOL.

Should make an effort to get Everton licensed in the damn game!

I'm confused.
Why will this make him a future Everton manager ?
Or have misunderstood the thread title ?

Day 2:

We got up at 7am this morning, which is only about an hour earlier than what I’m used to at home, but it certainly makes a difference… I like my sleep.

My legs were a bit stiff but I’m not aching too much – I think that will kick in next week!

I’m rooming with Mustafi at the moment, he’s a good lad. I’ve met him before so that’s probably why I’ve been selected to share with him. He likes the banter and he’s been telling me today how his muscles are a bit stiff as well.

First thing we did this morning was go for a run on the golf course, which was mostly up hill.

After a short rest we got on the bus to go for our full training session.

I’ve been having a bit of banter with Ossie (Leon Osman) and Bainsey (Leighton Baines) today.

Ossie was teaching me how to wind up the media – see here for more details!

After we’d got back from training we all went up to our rooms and we were having a Pro Evo tournament. Vaughany (James Vaughan) was beating everyone…apart from me of course! I won 4-2 and I will now retire as champion!

At the end of the day, to sooth our legs, all the lads decided they fancied running into the sea! That was everyone except for Phil Neville, Bainsey, Saha, Hope Akpan and Kieran Agard - they were scared of the cold!

It was freezing!

Back to the room now for a rest before another busy day of training tomorrow.
