Struggling today after a little walk around some of the finest watering holes our fine city has to offer. Mainly real ales (reverend james (?) in the vernon arms was probably my favorite.
Hope i manage to remember my route:
The crown
dr duncans
ship and mitre
vernon arms
lion
railway
pig and whistle
Ma boyles
slaughter house
cavern
white star
richmond
caernavon
peter kavanagha's
blackburne
cavendish (?)
everyman

(most were only a glass- i cant handle my ale anymore)

Chris, those names brought many happy nights in town flooding back mate...........we started off at the Wedding House...............its not there anymore unfortunately

we were talking to a young girl behind the bar in ma boyles and her knowledge of real ales was [Poor language removed] hot.

not to ugly either, chico would of tried to pull her (not much of a recommendation i know, but..)

Are the Croc, Rigbys, Grapes, Hole in the Wall and Cumberland still going? Some are now gay bars so can you help Chics:lol:

You're my hero.

I was doing something similar but I got too drunk and came home to order pakora and wine.

I do hope you smelt her hair.

Please, your honor, it was the girls superior knowledge of real ale and not her possibly 36DD's that caused me to to continually adjust my self, while stirring at her with my gob wide open

I discovered the Ship & Mitre a few months ago, when I went in I had a pint of the cherry lager that everyone drank when we played Liege away & then the lager I'd been drinking when we played Sigma, both draught. Didn't realise places like that existed, I very rarely drink in town but I'll be going back there at some point, no question

When I'm back I drink in the Ship and Mitre loads, cracking little place with outstanding ale.
